De voor- en nadelen van gel nagellak: waarom zou je het juist wél moeten dragen?
Gel nagellak kan supermooi zijn. Toch dragen de meeste mensen normale nagellak, omdat ze misschien nooit aan iets anders hebben of omdat ze het toch niet vaak dragen. Daarnaast zijn er wat nadelen van gellak, waardoor de meeste mensen daar alsnog niet zo snel voor kiezen. Maar over het algemeen vind je ook veel voordelen in dit artikel. Enjoy!
Ten eerste: draag ik zelf gel nagellak?
Nee, ik draag het zelf niet. Ik zie zoveel voordelen van gel nagellak – vandaar dit artikel – maar voor nu ga ik nog geen UV-lamp kopen. Later misschien wel, want het lijkt me zó leuk om prachtige nagels te hebben – alsof je net naar de nagelsalon bent geweest. En het blijft ook superlang zitten, wat ik als een héél groot voordeel zie! Maar daar kom ik later op terug.
En gel nagellak zonder UV-lamp dan?
Ik heb voor dit artikel expres een foto gemaakt van gel nagellak waar je geen UV lamp voor nodig hebt. Dat kan toch ook? Zelf merk ik helaas geen mega effect wanneer ik dit gebruik. Wel jammer, maar ik denk dat als je écht mooie nagels wilt, toch een UV lamp nodig zal hebben. Dan kan je tenminste echte gel nagellak gebruiken, zodat je echt verschil kunt zien: die is namelijk dikker en dat zie je ook aan het resultaat op je nagels. Verder is het lakje zelf wel mooi, ik kreeg hem bij de Styletone box!
De nadelen van gel nagellak:
Ondanks dat ik het dus over de voordelen wilde hebben, wilde dit niet weglaten uit dit artikel. Gelukkig zijn er wel oplossingen voor alle nadelen, dus die vertel ik je ook! Handig voor als je bijvoorbeeld twijfelt om gel nagellak uit te proberen of als je er gewoon benieuwd naar bent.
1. UV-straling
Dit is denk ik de grootste reden dat mensen toch normale nagellak blijven dragen. Als je je gel nagellak uithardt met een UV-lamp, dan komt die straling ook op je handen. Dat weten de meeste verkopers natuurlijk ook wel: daarom kan je vaak zo’n handschoen erbij kopen, zodat de UV straling alleen op je nagels komt. Handig, lijkt me! Als ik zelf een UV-lamp ga kopen, dan ga ik hem nooit gebruiken zonder zo’n handschoen.
2. Het is duurder
Eigenlijk is het vooral de lamp die wat meer kost. Een “oplossing” heb ik hier niet echt voor. Misschien moet je het gewoon zien als investeren in iets goeds, zoals je bijvoorbeeld dure make-up zou kopen. Verder is het wél veel goedkoper als je je nagels zelf lakt met gel nagellak dan dat je het in een nagelsalon zou laten doen. Toch weer een pluspunt dus.
Waarom zou je gel nagellak dragen? (de voordelen)
En dan komen we nu aan bij de voordelen, want daar wilde ik het in dit artikel juist over gaan hebben. Als het niks positiefs zou hebben, dan zouden mensen het niet dragen, toch? Ik ga niet alles benoemen, want dit zijn alleen de voordelen die het belangrijkst zijn om juist voor gel nagellak te kiezen – en ook de dingen die ik zelf het nuttigst vind om in dit artikel te vertellen.
1. Het is heel mooi & chic
Gel nagellak heeft ten eerste een wat dikkere substantie. Dat merk je ook nadat je het op je nagels hebt aangebracht. Je moet wel in dunne laagjes lakken, maar na meerdere laagjes kan het er echt heel mooi uitzien. Dit is dus ook de reden waarom ik het er altijd zo chic en verzorgd uit vind zien. Dit betekent overigens niet dat normale nagellak er niet mooi uitziet, integendeel zelfs! Maar gellak is net wat mooier 🙂
2. Het blijft lang zitten & het kost je dus minder tijd
Gel nagellak blijft veel langer op je nagels zitten, tot wel 3 weken. Dat is echt lang! Als ik voorzichtig doe, blijft normale nagellak bij mij maximaal een paar dagen zitten. Het zou je dus tijd besparen. Vind je de kleur na twee weken niet meer leuk? Ik las op de blog van Cynthia (Misslipgloss) dat zij er dan gewoon een andere kleur overheen lakt! Dat kan natuurlijk ook.
3. Het maakt je nagels juist sterker
Huh? Sterker? Maar beschadigt gel nagellak je nagels niet? Nee, zolang je het er niet verkeerd afhaalt, en dus je nagels niet beschadigt, maakt het je nagels juist sterker. Dan hebben ze de tijd om door te groeien, omdat er een wat steviger laagje op je nagels zit. En tijd om te groeien betekent sterkere nagels – of in ieder geval niet minder sterk dan eerst.
Waar koop je gel nagellak eigenlijk?
In de stad kom je af en toe een nagelsalon tegen, maar in veel winkels is het niet verkrijgbaar. Wel weet ik dat de Kruidvat (in 2017) de nieuwe lijn met gel nagellak van Essie verkoopt. Verder is het niet overal verkrijgbaar. Het beste kan je gewoon online je gel nagellak kopen. Je kunt het kopen op websites zoals myxlshop.nl of tech66.nl. Beide webshops hebben een groot assortiment met verschillende merken.
De conclusie
Wanneer je speciale handschoenen tegen de UV-straling hebt, dan is er nog maar één nadeel over: het is wat duurder. Het zelf aanbrengen van gellak is wel veel goedkoper dan in een nagelsalon natuurlijk. Dat het je nagels juist sterker maakt zou je niet denken, maar toch is het zo als je alles goed doet. En de échte conclusie? Gel nagellak heeft juist die leuke extra’s: het blijft lang zitten en het is net wat mooier.
